WHO WE ARE

1IMG_6490.JPG

OLI BEARDSALL

Founder, CSCS, Strongfirst BodyWeight Trainer, Personal Trainer, RYT-200

I am a personal trainer, strength and conditioning coach, yoga teacher, educator, and lover of all things that move me physically and mentally.

Day to day I run a busy personal training practice where I have the pleasure of working with a wide variety of individuals and groups, including athletes from high school to professional level, yogi’s, fitness enthusiasts and those new to exercise. I also lead workshops for youth athletics and sports teams, focused on improving physical and mental performance. I foster an environment that promotes stress reduction, self-discovery and an experience of what it’s like to be in the ‘Flow’ state. I am passionate about helping my clients work towards increased strength, self-confidence, and personal empowerment and have great joy for what I do.

My mission is to help guide individuals towards a deeper sense of strength, balance and personal power. I do so through the teaching of performance-based strength and conditioning, yoga and mindfulness practice. I use my personal experience in these fields to provide a dynamic training experience.

I am a certified Strength and Conditioning Coach (CSCS) through the NSCA, certified Strongfirst Bodyweight trainer, and certified Personal Trainer through the AFAA. I received my 200-hour Yoga Teacher Certification through the Yoga Alliance and continue to educate myself daily.

TAYLOR BEARDSALL

Founder, M.Ed Art Therapist, RYT-200

As an art therapist and yoga instructor, I approach both practices with an open mind, open heart, and sense of acceptance toward all individuals. In art therapy I utilize tenets of mindfulness, as well as a humanistic and positive psychology approach. Through these approaches, I accompany participants as a non-judgmental, fully present, and supportive facilitator on their journey of using art-making for healing. I facilitate sessions in which clients use the creative process to make meaning of life experiences, and to consciously focus on positive qualities, resources and personal strength. In my art therapy sessions, I provide a safe space for creative exploration, self-trust, and self-love. I encourage individuals to trust their intuitive creativity and express what they need using the therapeutic art-making process.

Additionally, I am a Yoga Alliance certified 200-hour yoga teacher. I lead vinyasa, slow flow, yin, and restorative yoga. Yoga has helped me gain self-confidence and self-awareness, and I am passionate about sharing this practice with others. I see art therapy and yoga as complementary practices, often incorporating yoga and meditation into my art therapy sessions.

I received my BA in Arts and Humanities from Michigan State University, and my M.Ed from Wayne State University in Art Therapy. I have provided art therapy and yoga services in a variety of health care settings, and have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults.

I look forward to creating, flowing, and growing with you!
